Competitors, spectators, sponsors, staff, and
friends,
Welcome to the online home for the 2010 Memorial
Championship presented by Discraft!
We hope you will find all of the information you will need to prepare for this
year's event right here on MemorialChampionship.com. If there is something you
can't find, please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions by using the
Contact Us link below or on the menu.
The Arizona Disc Golf Club looks forward to making
your experience in Fountain Hills and Scottsdale an enjoyable one.
For 2010 some changes will be made to the event on
the National Tour side that are
explained below:
|
 |
|
-
Expansion to Four days (Wednesday, March 3rd through Saturday, March 6th) -
Professional players will now be starting a full day earlier than the amateurs,
allowing them to play an additional round at the beautiful Fountain Hills Disc
Golf Course. Check out the General Information page for more details.
-
Entry Fees Increased - With park fees continuing to rise and the addition
of a fourth day we have no choice but to raise our rates- MPO / FPO: $175, all
other professional divisions: $150, spending a week in Arizona in March...
PRICELESS!
-
Professional Field Limited to 180 - There will only be 180 spots for all
professional divisions with no divisional caps; so it's first-come-first-serve
like never before, and we really urge you to sign up early if you intend to
compete. A waiting list will be started upon reaching 180 players; and as in
previous years, if you have not renewed your 2010 PDGA Membership by Friday,
January 15th, you will be moved to the waiting list and your spot given to a
current member.
-
Rules Proficiency Exam for NT Competitors - Starting in 2010, anyone
wanting to compete in a PDGA National Tour event is required to pass a rules
proficiency exam well before the start of the tournament.
This test is now
available online through the PDGA. The deadline to pass this test before you are
moved to the waiting list for the Memorial Championship is Wednesday, February 17th.
-
New Scoring Tents - There will be scoring tents set up near the 18th
hole on both courses for the entire group to come in and complete their score
cards. Calculators will be available to double check your math, and it will be
required for you to initial your score card before turning it in. Water will
also be available at the scoring tent (in addition to the hydration stations
located around the courses) to quench your thirst after your round. This applies
to ALL divisions.
Please use the new menuing system above to navigate to the information you need
most, but to get you started right away, here are a few essential links:
